The Birth of a phenomena – Safar

Safar is a fluidic group represented by multi-genre artists. A group of experimenting producers who delve deep into a concept that allude psychological reactance and its variance.

Safar is a VA (various artists) comprising 11 producers who followed a guiding star that led to fruition of this successful VA. That guiding star is The Hand, by Salvador Dali, that all 11 members of the VA followed (image below). The project is based around the theory of psychological reactance. Intent at the start was clear that all producers, without the bounds and shackles of having to tag their track into a genre, produce something inspired by The Hand.

The result is a dynamic compilation of 11 tracks deeply rooted to electronic music and would leave the listener in a maze trying to fit it into a genre. That is because each track is it’s creator’s perception of the image that is above.
